Another season has come and gone!

2011 2012 SCHEDULE (click here)

Welcome to our 2011-2012 season

Well, a new season is upon us and we are looking forward to seeing many returning faces as well as many new faces.

We also want to welcome back our many sponsors who have been with us a number of years as well as our new sponsors. Without their sponsorship the cost of playing hockey would be much higher.

As we say each year, there are a great number of volunteers that are required to make a season run smoothly and we want to thank those who have given of their time. From the parents who volunteer their time to be a head coach and assistant coaches for 26 House League teams (over 400 players), the coaches and other team staff for our 5 Select teams, the hockey executive who work tirelessly behind the scenes even though none of them have children playing in our league and most importantly the parents who brave the cold and the snow to bring their children to each practice and game.

We are always looking for "New Blood" when it comes to volunteers and without them we cannot expect to continue. We have sent out a notice to our parents asking for volunteers so If you are interested in becoming a volunteer in some way or even want to join our executive, please send us an email or approach one of our current executive.

We have had a number of individuals who have expressed interest in our League Registrar and League Statistician. We will be contacting those people in the next few weeks about their involvement.

We are still looking for others especially House League Division Conveners whose responsibilities would be to co-ordinate the activities of each house league division. Division Convenors participate in team selection, attend division games and advise the League Executive on team balancing, concerns that may arise and discipline issues.

As we mentioned at the end of last season Victoria Village has implemented a "Code of Conduct" for this season and beyond that must be adhered to by all players, parents, volunteers and spectators. A copy of the "Code of Conduct" can be found by clicking on the "Code of Conduct" link on the left side of the home page. The document can also be printed out for your convenience. Please take the time to read and understand it.

Please remember that Victoria Village Hockey is a "Not-for-Profit", community based Hockey League that offers a Hockey program with the emphasis on "HAVING FUN" and we are here to provide a place for children of all ages, races and creed to learn and play our great game of Hockey.

Our slogan has always been "Putting Fun Back Into The Game Of Hockey".

On behalf of the Executive, please have a great season!
